These fresh and healthy lettuce wraps are packed with flavor and make for a perfect light lunch or appetizer.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 head butter lettuce, leaves separated
- 1 can water chestnuts, diced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon sriracha (optional)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken and cook, breaking up with a spoon, until browned.
- Add garlic and ginger, cook for 1 minute.
- Stir in water chestnuts and green onions.
- Mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, and sriracha.
- Pour sauce over chicken and stir to combine.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Serve in lettuce cups and garnish with sesame seeds.
